See for yourself at a free demonstration

On Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September, Moycullen-based social enterprise Horses Connect is running free demonstrations of the EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) model of equine assisted interactions. EAGALA work breaks down barriers and changes behavioural patterns. It is a powerful and highly effective means of quickly getting to the root of personal or professional challenges.
Friday's demo is at Western Stables, Ballagh, Bushypark from 3 – 4.30pm and Saturday's takes place from 11am – 12.30pn In Curra Farm, Moycullen.

EAGALA model equine assisted learning is a ground-based, experiential and solution-focused process that is facilitated by an Equine Specialist, a Mental health Professional and one or more horses. The horse is an integral part of the team simply because it is impossible to fake a real connection with an animal who's evolved over millions of years to intuitively understand who can be trusted and who may be experiencing the kind of turmoil that can signal a threat.
Horses respond with unique insight into who we are in the moment. They are profoundly gifted reflectors of our true selves because their very survival depends on reading us right. Horses know when we're grounded, focused and real. And they know immediately when we're not - even if we don't know it ourselves. Also, the horse never sees a person with a problem, challenge or issue. The horse only sees a person.
The basis of the EAGALA Model is a belief that all every person has the best solutions for themselves when given the opportunity to discover them. Rather than instructing or directing solutions, EAGALA facilitators allow clients to experiment, problem-solve, take risks, employ creativity, and find the solutions that work best for them.
