AAA responds to government claims of ‘grossly out of date’ figures: “Has the government built thousands of new council homes in the last 3 weeks?”
Government should clarify latest up to date figures since October 22nd
The Anti-Austerity Alliance has responded to government claims that figures which show that only 20 council houses have been built this year and zero in the second quarter of the year are ‘grossly out of date’ despite being published by the Department of the Environment on October 22nd.

“If these figures are ‘grossly out of date’ as the government are trying to claim, my question is has the government built thousands of new council homes in the last three weeks?
“These figures were published by the government on the 22nd of October, three weeks ago, and clearly show that only 20 new council homes were built this year, and zero were built in the second quarter.
“You now have a situation where the government is contradicting its own figures because they have been highlighted by the opposition.
“The government should clarify the situation with the latest up to date figures since October 22nd if they are so grossly out of date and loads of new homes have been built.”
