Notice of change of date for Dublin Community Television Workshop

Call to develop Thematic Content Groups for Dublin Community Television Workshop:

This workshop will now take place on the 22nd October. The venue will be confimed in Community Exchange.

Can you imagine how your own community televison channel could contribute to your community’s cultural, social and economic life? Come to the Content Workshop on October 22nd 2003.

Propaganda is boring, did you ever listen to Radio Moscow during the Cold War, yawn. News is boring when the messenger is trying to tell the listener what to think. People want facts, not a lecture.

This would be just another method of telling people (who are haughtily presumed to have no minds of their own) that: USA = evil, corporations = evil, Saddam = good, Stalin & Lenin = misunderstood yawn yawn.

I can see where your coming from, but I think your wrong. If anything, a Community Telivision project would allow the general public to make film projects and documentaries ect. without the high RTE stat of approval. I'd be very pissed to see this turn into a propaganda project.
