Where active verbs are used in the passage below it should be understood that they represent the views of the author of this piece and not of the Left Parents Coalition (only the name has been registered at the moment, no such organisation exists).

The Left Parents Coalition is intended as a means of furthering the best interests of our children in a left wing context, that is a context of collective responsibility.

It is intended for parents of non adult children and initially will deal primarily with issues of interest to parents and children.

It will not initially be sectarian in the sense of denying access to any person, however it is hoped (by me) that the ethos will be 'left'.

It currently has no positions as these will be decided by agreement among members (when it has members, it currently has one member, me).
