March 2004. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW WEBSITE FOR DISABLED ARTIST
Based in wexford, Lois Davies is a progressive and innovative modern digital artist. Using a mixture of photographs, scans and computer graphics Lois has built a collection of eye-catching images, which has been exhibited at various times around Ireland and Europe.
Lois, who has been suffering from a severe form of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis since the late 90s, runs a yahoo chat group for sufferers of M.E./C.F.S. and related illnesses. It was there where she came into contact with Declan Murphy from Glasnevin in Dublin, another M.E. sufferer, who offered to help build a professional promotional website for the artist. This is a great example of how the Internet can be an excellent networking tool and of great benefit to the disabled. The result is now online and contains two Galleries of striking imagery from Lois’ recent collections. This new website ties in with an exhibition of Lois’ latest pieces which will be held in Bank Of Ireland Arts Centre, Dublin in early April.
