Press Release: June 29th, Immediate Release
Members of Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Limerick flew this banner from King John's Castle in Limerick during Bush's visit to the EU-US Summit, at the weekend
The banner read
"President Bush, end US Support for the Israeli Occupation of Palestine"
A spokesperson for IPSC said that "despite Israels refusal to comply with over 65 UN resolutions, its continued illegal Occupation and expansion into Palestinian Territories, its building of the Apartheid Wall as means of illegally confiscating more Palestinian Land, and countless human righs violations, it still receives the full backing of the US, and even more so under George Bush.
George Bush has referred to Ariel Sharon as a 'man of peace', eventhough it is widely accepted even in Israel, that he is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians including those during the massacre in the Sabra and Shatila Palestinian refugee camps in 1982.
The IPSC has continually called for and end to the Illegal occupation and until that happens for a Boycott and for suspension of EU trade agreements with Israel.
