Bush is the biggest rocket!
Over 50 people attended an Ógra Sinn Fein protest in the centre of Strabane today (Saturday) demanding an end to Israeli aggression in Lebonan, the West Bank and the Gaza strip.
Speaking about the protest Ógra Sinn Fein spokesperson Sean Mac Giolla Easpaig said,
The reaction of general public to today’s protest was highly supportive. Young people in particular were keenly aware of the issues and the injustices that are been visited upon the peoples of Lebanon and the Palestinian territories by Israel and with the blessing and sanction of
the US administration.
As well as holding a white line protest in Abercorn Square, Ógra Shinn Fein members also distributed a large number of leaflets to shoppers with graphic images highlighting the reality of Israel’s aggression policy.
There is a strong feeling of sympathy and solidarity among the Irish people for the plight of those on the receiving end of this policy, as we know all to too well the harsh reality of life under foreign occupation.
The Dublin government has a particular responsibility to demand that the US and Britain be brought to task for their continued practical and moral support for Israel’s war crimes.
