Bush is the biggest rocket!
North Antrim Ógra Shinn Féin held a successful white line picket in the centre of Ballycastle earlier today to protest at the Israeli aggression and onslaught against Lebanon and Lebanese civilians, over 400 of whom have been killed in the past couple of weeks.
Speaking after the protest local Sinn Féin Councillor Cara McShane said:
"Young people in North Antrim, like most other people here, are angry at not only Israel's wanton destruction of Lebanese infrastructure, towns and civilians, but also the fact that they are doing it without being apprehended or condemned by the British and US Governments
"Speaking to people today it is clear that there is strong public support against what Israel are doing and the fact that the Irish Government are continuing to allow the US to use Shannon airport while the US are providing the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) with the weapons that are currently being used on Lebanese civilians.
"The Irish Government must start using its position to stand up for the rights of civilians in Lebanon and speak out against the appalling record the US and Britain have in the Middle-East."
