Meeting with CAJ 'positive' - RPAG

The Republican Prisoners’ Action Group (RPAG) met with the Committee on the Administration of Justice (CAJ) on Thursday, July 27th. The RPAG outlined the demands of the protesting Republican POWs in Maghaberry, as well as the current conditions the prisoners are facing. The CAJ were also made aware of our concerns with regard to the minimal nature of the review of the segregated regime. Those conducting the review did not recommend any movement on what we had identified as the key issues in submissions to various human rights bodies.
The RPAG feels that the meeting with the CAJ was very positive, and are satisfied that they will continue to monitor the situation in Maghaberry.
