CopWatch LA video sparks FBI probe of LAPD

A YouTube video showing police officers punching a suspect in the face while he is being arrested has resulted in the FBI opening a probe on the LAPD.

YouTube sucks in many ways: it requires viewers to have a Flash player (flash is proprietary and non-free). But lots of people watch YouTube and use it.

This video made recently in Los Angeles is obviously deeply embarrasing and unwelcome to the police and to some extent shows that it's worth taking the time to edit videos to short effective segments and to distribute them as widely and effectively as possible.

The police officers are being defended by the attorney that defended the police suspects in the Rodney King beatings (that led to the LA uprising/riots in 1992).
