RSF have described the Aer Lingus' move to Aldergrove from Shannon as a cynical attempt to increase their own profits.
AER LINGUS MOVE CYNICAL ATTEMPT TO INCREASE PROFITS
The final abandonment of their London-Heathrow service from Shannon arises from Aer Lingus' wish to use the DUP/Provo marriage in the Six Occupied Counties to reduce wages, a spokesperson for Republican Sinn Féin has said. National Publicity Officer, Richard Walsh, questioned the designation of Belfast International Airport as a 'foreign hub'.
Mr. Walsh said: “They have replaced their staff in Shannon with lower-paid staff in Aldergrove, claiming that employees based at the County Antrim airport are not entitled to the same conditions of employment as their compatriots in County Clare.
“This development has nothing to do with offering improved services to people within the Six Counties, but is simply a cynical attempt by Aer Lingus to boost their own profits.”
