Writing about Refugees: A competition for Student Journalists

The Jesuit Refugee Service Europe is inviting aspiring journalists to investigate the reality behind the headlines by asking current and recent students across Europe to write an article on the theme: ’Access to Asylum’



Newspaper reports often focus on the negative side of a very complex issue. Many persecuted individuals travel thousands of miles across land, sea and deserts to claim refuge in Europe.The overall winner will be given the opportunity to visit a refugee camp in Malawi as the guest of JRS Southern Africa, where they will meet refugees, representatives of NGOs and local media.
