The annual Seán Keenan Commemoration will take place in Derry City on Sunday, 1st March at 3p.m., assembling at the Keenan memorial (Celtic Cross) on Fahan Street in the Bogside.
The annual Seán Keenan Commemoration will take place in Derry City on Sunday, 1st March at 3p.m., assembling at the Keenan memorial (Celtic Cross) on Fahan Street in the Bogside.
Proceedings will be chaired by Ulster Treasurer Michael McGonigle from Dungiven, Co. Derry. The main oration will be delivered by Republican Sinn Féin Vice-President Des Dalton, who is contesting the June local elections as a candidate for Athy Town Council in Co. Kildare.
Wreaths will be laid at the Seán Keenan monument and also at the Bloody Sunday martyrs' monument.
Seán Keenan was a prominent and lifelong Republican, and was Honorary Vice-President for Life of Republican Sinn Féin.
