New Book on the Arms Trial
BOOK LAUNCHES
The Teachers Club, 36 Parnell Square, Dublin.
Friday, 8th May, 7.30pm.
“The Arms Conspiracy Trial, Ireland 1970 – the Prosecution of Charles Haughey, Captain Kelly and Others” by Angela Clifford (A Belfast Magazine).
Suzanne Kelly, (daughter of Captain James Kelly) will launch this new book that gives a comprehensive account of the 1970 Arms Trial and its significance.
It consists of 720 pages, with illustrations, giving a detailed account of the background to the Trial and how the Trial itself was conducted by all parties.
It is the third publication in a trilogy by Angela Clifford on the Trial and its context. Together they provide the most definitive account available on events that were a turning point in the history of the Republic and Northern Ireland.
