The fact that a travel agent in Derry City is advertising an event which glorifies the British Crown Forces has been condemned by a spokesman for Republican Sinn Féin.

The fact that a travel agent in Derry City is advertising an event which glorifies the British Crown Forces has been condemned by a spokesman for Republican Sinn Féin. The front window of Gallagher Travel on the Strand Road advertises trips to the “Edinburgh Military Tattoo”. Proceeds from the Edinburgh Tattoo go towards the British Legion.

An RSF spokesman said:

“It is grossly inconsiderate for Gallagher Travel to advertise such an event which glorifies those who murdered fourteen Irish citizens on Irish soil on Bloody Sunday in January of 1972. Countless others have also been murdered by British Crown Forces – whether in Derry, the rest of Ireland or abroad.”
