Malachy Steenson, the Workers Party candidate in Dublin Central said it was unbelievable that "at a time of a mounting drugs crisis that the Drugs Ministry has been dropped". Reacting to the new Junior Ministerial line up announced today Malachy stated: "This once again highlights this government's lack of understanding of, or sympathy for, the thousands of families, mostly working class families, who are consumed in the hell of drug addiction".
As he prepared to attend the funeral of yet another drug addict in the North inner city he Malachy stated: "As per usual this government was only concerned about protecting itself and its cronies and was not concerned about the ordinary working people of this country and how their lives were affected by the mis-management of this country by the Government over the past 10 years.
