There has been widespread harassment of Republicans throughout Ulster, on both sides of the British-created border.
The home of a National Treasurer of Republican Sinn Féin was raided by the 26-County police in Bundoran, Co. Donegal, on Tuesday, 22nd September. They forced entry despite the fact that the household was unoccupied at the time. A computer and clothing were seized, as well as a bodhrán.
Homes were also targeted in nearby Ballyshannon. One man was taken captive by 26-County forces and remains in custody.
There has also been a massive operation throughout the Six Occupied Counties over the past week. Hundreds of RUC checkpoints have been set up with the intention of intimidating and threatening those who remain opposed to English rule in Ireland. Reports of checkpoints in Derry, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Armagh and other areas have been received.
The reality is that for as long as English rule continues in Ireland, there will be native resistance to it.
