Irish Government complicit in torture

-A high-level United Nations group has said it ‘‘regrets’’ that the Irish government did not reply to claims that it facilitated the illegal rendition of suspected Islamic activists through airports here.-

-The report from the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID) - which is examining the disappearance of people across Europe - said that, based on reports which it had received, ‘‘the government of Ireland was involved in 2003 in a practice of renditions and secret detention’’ of international terrorism suspects.-

This means that the Irish government has facilitated war crimes.
