The Russian Ukraine war is now is over a week long and for many who are trying to understand what it is all about that is proving difficult. The sheer scale of the relentless propaganda is astounding and the hate that is being encouraged and fueled for all things Russian is frightening. Once again as with the Covid scamdemic the way in which people have lapped up the fear porn and refused to carry out any level of critical thinking is scary.

One thing that is obvious to those who stop and think for a moment is the complete absence of any kind of context and background to the whole thing. We are just being relentlessly push to believe that Putin in Hitler 2.0 and it all hinges on him and that he is evil. There is also outright hate and racism being whipped up and there are many reports of Russian students being booted off their course and various Russians being cancelled. There is a lot of intense media hysteria at the moment over an "imminent" Russia invasion of the Ukraine. It is of course pure hype and a distraction and part of the relentless campaign against all things Russian for who knows what reason. And Ireland like the obedient puppy of the Anglo-Saxon world has issued a call for all Irish to leave Ukraine immediately. I originally wrote this piece in September 2021 following the announcement by United States President Joe Biden that US forces would withdraw from Afghanistan, but never sought to publish the piece. The Irish Government is playing both sides on the matter of foreign affairs, calling for peace and claiming to be 'neutral' while actively supporting Western military imperialism. In this article by Pepe Escobar who is reporting on the situation in Afghanistan where province after province has rapidly fallen to the Taliban, he compares the current situation to the chaotic evacuation from Saigon in Vietnam after the USA had killed at least 2 million there in a brutal war that lasted more than a decade. In the case of Afghanistan the USA and NATO have achieved zero and spent over 2 trillion dollars but in the process have further destroyed the country and killed untold hundreds of thousands of Afghans.

Now as told by Escobar the Taliban are avenging America's invasion way back in 2001 and as Kandahar the second city of Afghanistan has already fallen, the only obstacle that remains is Kabul itself and as one commentator suspects they may be hoping to take that on Sept 11th which would be a fitting slap in the face to the Empire. In an unprecedented tweet earlier in the week President Trump carried out the worst crime in the eyes of the establishment. He admitted the US went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan based on lies and that millions of lives and trillions of dollars were therefore wasted for no good reason other than lies. This is the worst crime imagineable -that is telling the truth about this for it exposes the reality of the system. The Democrats and others are not trying to impeach Trump because of some minor thing or another. It is because they don't trust him to continue running US imperialism as have done nearly all proceeding both Republican and Democrat presidents. They don't give a f**k about democracy since they were part and parcel of the lies and wars of aggression too.
