Musician and author, Mat Callahan, presents the James Connolly—
Songs of Freedom project. "Songs of Freedom" is a collection of lyrics
edited by Irish revolutionary, James Connolly, and published in New
York in 1907. Its rediscovery and revival is a project undertaken by
Callahan and a group of Irish, American and Swiss musicians. Tonight's
event will include an account of how this project began as well as a
performance of some of the songs. Callahan will discuss Connolly's
