Jump To Comment: 1The motion was roundly defeated - not on Tuesday but on Thursday in a run-on session, in the course of which Cllr Hugh Lewis apparently mentioned having been offered money for voting a certain way. Cue uproar in the Council chamber, whose members are shocked - shocked - that anyone would ever be offered money for anything to do with planning.
Interestingly enough that session is not available on the DLR CoCo webcast site http://www.dlrcoco.public-i.tv/core/portal/webcasts. The one time you might actually be interested in seeing the mighty force of local democracy in action...
