CHASE is inviting volunteers to join the Sponsored Right-of-Way Clearing of the overgrown right of way path from Ringaskiddy Martello Tower to Gobby Beach which has been taking place every Saturday at 11am since June 23rd.

The right of way path, which was built along with the Tower, crosses over the proposed Indaver incinerator site. This is a right of way since time immemorial and we all have a legal right to use it.

Since Saturday June 23rd, the path has been marked with poles and volunteers have been working to clear centuries of growth to restore the path to good walking order.

Clearing starts at 11am each Saturday and goes on usually until about 3pm.

To join the project please e-mail Catriona for a sponsorship card, bring thick clothes, any gardening equipment you have and a picnic for after the hard work! If you have petrol fuelled equipment, please let the organisers know by e-mail: govicat(at)hotmail.com.

All welcome – tell family and friends.
