Bea Johnson has just announced details of her 9th speaking tour in which she will visit 10 European countries including a visit to Cork where she will share her inspirational story of change at a talk in Rochestown Park Hotel on 27 September at 8.00pm. ABOUT BEA JOHNSON
Dubbed ‘The priestess of zero waste’, French Californian Bea Johnson and her family of four have overhauled their consumption and shopping and now produce almost no waste. Bea collects their waste output in a single quart jar every year and has become a powerful advocate for waste free living of which she says “We not only feel happier, but we also lead more meaningful lives based on experiences instead of stuff.”
Bea’s blog Zero Waste Home has 20million page views and she has delivered presentations to organisations such as Google, TedX, the European Parliament and is regularly featured by media including BBC, NBC, The New York Times, People Magazine, CNN. This is Bea’s second speaking engagement in Ireland in two years. Her Trinity College presentation has hugely accelerated the range of package free options available to people, according to the organisers of that March 2016 talk. ZERO WASTE POPUP MARKET
A zero-waste popup market will operate before the talk, and give attendees and those interested in package free shopping an opportunity to purchase some home and food items free of packaging. After the talk. The market will re-open exclusively for ticket holders when talk concludes.
