If the police reckon John 3:16 could be hate speech depending on your religion, we're in trouble, says KJ Swanley. Real hate requires malice, not just disagreeing with someone's beliefs.

Britain's Covid hangover is why schools, courts and the NHS are a mess, says Josh Glancy in the Sunday Times. The pandemic showed we're way too vulnerable to shocks and way too hooked on playing it safe.

Clare Daly MEP on 11th Anniversary of the death of Libya's Gadaffi by NATO

category international | politics / elections | news report author Saturday December 03, 2022 21:34author by 1 of Indy Report this post to the editors

On Nov 30th Clare Daly MEP railed against the result of the vote on the Common Security Defence Policy ( #CSDP ) report when she took to twitter to declare:

A decade of militarisation in Europe is bearing bitter fruit. But Parliament is on track to draw exactly the wrong lesson. #CSDP report voted today in committee calls for more spending, more weapons, more #NATO.

And she went on to criticize NATO in her address to the EU -see video clip

After 11th anniversary of #Gaddafi's death during #NATO's assault on #Libya - all in the name of freedom, democracy & human rights - we'd do well to remember what happened next: terror, death, lawlessness, rape, poverty, starvation. Libya riven by conflict. That's NATO's legacy.

#Gaddafi's #Libya🇱🇾 was a plank of regional stability. NATO's cataclysm plunged the wider #Maghreb, #Mediterranean, #Sahara & #Sahel into turmoil, seeding conflict & instability in 🇲🇱🇳🇪🇧🇫 & others. But for gore-soaked liberal 'humanitarians,' it's nothing more than a punchline.

The Left stands against militarism & war. Our minority position:

War is hell. But not for those who profit. To them war is business. Behind lofty rhetoric on Ukraine a feeding frenzy is now underway, as #EU countries exploit war to unlock ever greater tranches of public money for armament & militarisation. @TNInstitute
