Why Labour Might Be About to Lose the Runcorn By-Election: Because it Hates its Own Voters Tue Apr 29, 2025 07:00 | Steven Tucker
Reform is favourite to win the Runcorn and Helsby by-election, overturning Labour's 14,700 majority. Why? It might have something to do with having the nation's third-highest number of asylum seekers, says Steven Tucker.

The boring old government propaganda to "get a crappy FAS 'job'" was replaced with a splendid new slogan which will challenge and inspire today's depressed youth to scale new heights in the service of International Peace and Stability. As a gesture of support for this initiative, the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan himself, has promised to personally blow whoever gets in first with the money shot. So, no more mitching off during physics classes, kids!
Mrs. Mary Robinson, well known for her radical justice agenda, is proud to sponsor the second message, which she phoned in late from the WSF in Bombay, India, last night. The ex-president of Ireland, who had just spent the whole day listening to Mary Kelly detail the crimes of modern Imperialist Tyranny, seemed pretty pissed, saying, "I am determined to 'smoke out' wholesale international terrorism and send the perpetrators to the final court of justice." She then asked for Judge Dredd's number before hanging up.
keep it up!
more of this type of thing!!
Nice one!
Let's get out there in Dublin too.
Great stuff!!!!!
something more original maybe ..... great your rebelling against authority ..but maybe your could use the opertunity to send a message that won't simply be labeled as 'muppetry' by most ... somehow I don't think most people will be inspired by thses kind of messages. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't classic add busts usually somwhat humorous and try to send a worthwhile and usually realistic message instead of simply 'nuke the pentagon'
fair play to you all for it but try harder next time
pathetic and childish. grow up
The nuke the pentagon is a classic, it makes you look twice and it makes you think. Most importantly it's funny. Don't listen to the 'grown up', joyless, nay-sayers go out and multiply.
Good work
Wasnt that done before? As much as the work isnt perfect, it's a great start! Keep it up!!

might give you some idea of the sheer horror of such an attack.
I have started a group on www.myspace.com called "subvertizers", the idea being that it is a place to look at, post, discuss... subversions of ads. I've been talking to the crowd in Galway, and am trying to get something going with people in the Dublin area. I think its a good place to start, so join my space, then look up the group. There are already some good subvertisments posted in the "group photos" section. You need to join in order to view the photos, but if its just discussions your interested in, then you don't need to join myspace.
Click the link to go to the group...
There are also a good few Culture Jammer groups on myspace, so if thats what your looking for, then its a good place to 'network ideas'. They are from other parts of the world though. With subvertizers I was hoping to attract some interest from a more localized group.
I tried organizing something through adbusters but had no luck.
Personally, the subvertisments posted here, I think are a little bit crass, and easily dismissed. It was a fair point that the other guy made, but I also think that the intentions and the will to actually get out and do something was fairly admirable.
