Unlike Jeremy Corbyn, Keir Starmer has never described Hezbollah as his friends. But other than that, when it comes to Israel there is now little of consequence to differentiate them, says Stephen Pollard.

Is the 'Muslim vote' set to abandon Labour? With three quarters of British Muslims refusing to believe Hamas committed atrocities on October 7th, it's hard to see how Labour can retain them, says Frank Haviland.

With swivel-eyed zeal, Ed Miliband has been telling broadcasters he has a "mandate" to deliver his unworkable and unaffordable Net Zero agenda. Not when just 20% of the public voted for you, says Ben Pile.

[Genoa] The G8_ink

..a project to put together signs, traces and memory of the G8-Summit in Genoa. A space to recover and to enhance what was produced during and after July 2001. An excuse to tell what we saw, thought and felt. Because memory is a collective gear

The G8 ink. Words, voices, stories about Genoa.

Genoa, July 2001. 300.000 people were on the streets against the G8. For three days the capital of Liguria was scene for a collective dream: an other world is possible, the slogan that puts together even very different individual paths. The murder of Carlo Giuliani and the violences in the police stations, in the hospitals and on the streets stages the other side of Genoa: a collective nightmare - which is difficult to get over.

Three years later, Indymedia Italy, network for independent communication launches a project to collect signs, traces and memory of the G8 in Genoa. A space to recover and to enhance what was produced during and after July 2001. An excuse to tell what we saw, thought and felt.

Literature and art from a pen, a keyboard, a felt tip.
Radio and newspapers, web-sites and videos, songs and comic strips. Diaries and stories, novels and freaks. Stories from direct experiences. Pieces of life and movement. Personal images. Fragments of memory from the dream or from the nightmare of the G8 in Genoa.

Memory is a collective gear. Let it work!

The multimedia stuff, that will be collected through the "G8-ink" project will be published and enhanced as documentary stuff ans artistic and political evidence.

SupportoG8 proposes projects, campaigns and initiatives for information and fund raising. SupportoG8 supports the Genoa Legal Forum - the lawyers that defend the accused people or represent the plaintiffs in the trials - and contributes to the analysis and the recording of audio, video and written materials that testify the history of the days of Genoa. For the trials and for the collective memory.
