I believe that public opinion is being softened up at the same time as public unease is mounting over oil dependency. It's going to cost £70 billion to decommission Sellafield over 70-80 years, a process that seems to involve simply moving radioactive material from one place to another- and nuclear fuel is still being bandied as our energy saviour? This needs to be made clear to government- nuclear power should not be on the agenda at all- £70 billion says it simply isn't economical.
Whoever wrote the healine to this message -board is continuing Indiamedia's unenviable reputation for carelessness with the inconvenient truth.
The conference in Dublin today will consider ALL energy-sources and resources, including renewables. All the companies which are in the renewable-energy sector in Ireland will be there. They will hardly be flogging nuclear power-plants.
Get a grip.
