The murder of children in Southport on Monday was horrific, and the riot the following day was outrageous. There are serious questions to be asked about the chaos in Britain and they must not be censored, says Claire Fox.

158 academics have signed a letter calling for NATO to admit Ukraine. But they don't address the crucial question of when Ukraine should be admitted: now, or once the war is over. Neither option is straightforward.

Supreme Court Judgement in Dunne Case

category dublin | environment | news report author Saturday July 22, 2006 14:52author by Muireann Ni Bhrolchain - Save Taraauthor email muireann at savetara dot com Report this post to the editors

Carrickmines Judgement in after Third Delay.

The judgement is expected on Tuesday morning July 25th 2006

This judgement has been delayed and long-awaited.
This is the Supreme Court Appeal taken by Dominic Dunne in relation to the constitutionality of orders given by the Minister for the Environment on the Carrickmine's Castle Complex.

The last delay on the judgement issue occured on the 15th/16th of Feburary 2006.

This judgement will probably directly affect the 38 sites currently being excavated at
the Tara complex. These are in line with the proposed M3 route. The existing, new legislation as it stands
would allow for ministerial orders to demolish, cover or/and remove these sites to allow the road to
extend through the archaeological remains of the Tara landscape.
This is a hugely important and significant judgement and day for Tara.

I have been asked to pass on the message that people should attend the judgement to show support for Dominic Dunne in his legal battle. This could be a crucial day, not just for Tara, but for heritage in general.
I have had no involvement in this battle at any point or in the court case but I would like to be there to give my own personal and Tara's support on Tuesday.

Fair play to you Dominic and friends. This mob would sell their Mother to the highest bidder.
There are also some nasty stories doing the rounds about courts refusing proceedings to be recorded through a stenographer and other verified accounts of transcripts of hearings getting "lost". It is crucial to get cases before the courts "on the record".
