Amid a surge in autism diagnoses, Arthur Mann found a friend's children detached and glued to their screens. Is it not more likely, he wonders, that we are suffering from an epidemic of disastrous middle-class parenting?

In Germany the Left doesn't need to beat Right-wing parties, it can just ban them for supposedly being a bit too much like Hitler. Eugyppius is increasingly convinced the AfD will face a potential ban in the coming months.

PETA's schools programme tells children that animals are "just like us" and it's wrong to have pets and zoos. An organisation that has likened farming to the Holocaust has no place in the classroom, says Brian Monteith.

Cotillion presents the Looking Glass Circus at Cornucopia

category dublin | arts and media | press release author Thursday October 26, 2006 23:58author by The Cotillionsauthor email artcotillion at gmail dot com Report this post to the editors

Exhibition of new print works by Cotillion

Press release for new exhibition by contemporary art collective Cotillion to be held at Cornucopia Vegetarian Restaraunt, 19 Wicklow St, from November 5th to December 2nd 2006.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

It is our duty to inform you that the contemporary art group Cotillion are returning to a wall near you with The Looking Glass Circus; a new collection of print and mixed media work based on each artist’s interpretation of the notion of “a looking glass circus.” The exhibition will be an intimate and interactive sort of affair, with stories and and mini-stories to take home that relate to the art work.

The featured work is as diverse as the characters within the group, and their varied collective activities. These range from their successful Wonderland show in Gruel (which kicked off with an Alice in Wonderland-esque tea party) to their free miniature storybook series Let Me Tell You A Story… (of which 2100 copies have been distributed throughout Dublins' nooks and crannies.)

This is the fourth in a series of art events undertaken by Cotillion, with the fifth already in motion.

Cornucopia Vegetarian Restaurant has become a new platform for exhibiting a wide range of artists’ works, and Cotillion are pleased to be a part of such a popular emerging art space. We hope you get the chance to pop by. There is no need to be worried, there will be no clowns.

Yours sincerely,
The Cotillions.

Cornucopia Opening Times:
Mon-Sat: 8.30am–8pm.
Thurs: 8.30am-9pm. Sun: 12-7pm.
