Shell Offices Raided in Solidarity with Rossport

news report
Wednesday November 01, 2006 17:13 by G Holden
Shell Gas offices near Chesterfield were occupied today, while a simultaneous noise demo outside woke up Shell staff to our feelings about the multinational’s abuse of the Rossport people and their environment. Campaigners had to use sophisticated techniques and technology to overcome the electronic door security and gain access to the building. So they found an old cardboard box and wrote the address of the office on it with felt tip. They then, cunningly, rang the doorbell and said they had a delivery, at which point the door was opened and the protesters walked in. |

I hope you have something planned for November 10th, or better yet, you can get over to Mayo. If you come through Dublin we have a bus organised- send us an email on DublinshelltoSea@gmail.com to book a place.
The National Irish Freedom Committee has produced a new Shell to Sea video, read more here:

Great to see that people are taking risks and keeping the momentum up.

Well done people-great to see the solidarity across the water.keeps us energised and positive over here..
The campaign is as strong as ever and has just about weathered a storm of sleaze, lies and government/shell propaganda in the media.
Actions like the above serve to show that many around the world understand the seriousness of the issue and the fact that if Shell want to get away with this they will have to go through us first.
Onwards to the International Day of Action on the 10th of Nov!
