Rocky Sullivan’s, the preeminent unrepentant pub, presents Debate Night, on the last Tuesday of every month. The first in a series of debates, titled Should Irish Republicans Refuse to Join or Support the British Police Service of Northern Ireland, will take place on January 30, 2007 at 8:30 PM. Arguing in the affirmative will be John McDonagh of the Irish Freedom Committee and Radio Free Eireann, and Sandy Boyer, from 99.5 WBAI’s Radio Free Eireann. Arguing in the negative will be Liam MacNiallais, a political activist from Derry, and Larry “The Chef” Zaitcheck, who faces extradition by the RUC/PSNI to Northern Ireland. |
