An Event for young people
Hi everybody!
This is Nico, from Cultivate Sustainable Living Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin.
We're about to organize an event for young people (18-25 years old) which will address issues related to Climate Change. As you know, Climate Change is one of the most threatening challenges facing our world today. Unfortunately it is not just a theory. It is a fact. It is happening now, and it is directly related to our everyday actions, behaviours and attitudes. The event, "Rethinking Action on Climate Change" will be held on Wednesday March the 14th,
between 11am and 15pm, in Cultivate Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin.
Admission is free. This will be a day of film, international speakers, discussion, interactive workshops , games and a free organic lunch! It's a chance to become better informed, but also to meet others who share your own interests and concerns about what is happening with our climate, what it means for our lives, and what we can do to change the situation.
Furthermore, there will be loads of opportunities to continue on from this
experience, including:
- Attendance at the Green Cities conference in the UK, July 2007 (for two selected
participants)
- Potential of attending other International Climate Events
- A number of free places on Cultivate’s Climate Course
- Possible internships with participating NGOs working on Climate Change
To apply is very easy! Just fill in the application form below, and send it back to my e-mail address (nicola@cultivate.ie). But hurry up: application will have to be sent back by the 27th, and places are limited!
