Belfast ABC are hosting a video showing and fundraiser for Mumia Abu Jamals defence fund On Saturday June 23rd Belfast ABC will be hosting an evening in support of Mumia Abu Jamal who's fate hangs in the balance amid colliding appeals by both prosecution and defence the outcome of which could see either the quashing of his bogus conviction for the shooting dead of a Philadelphia policeman 26 years ago or indeed the reinstatement of his death penalty which was dropped in 2001. The event will take place at 9PM in Kellys cellars bar just off castle street and will include the showing of the film 'Mumia Abu Jamal, live from death row', a series of behind glass interviews in which the former Black Panther articulates his feelings on democracy, social justice and his possible execution. Admission is £4. |
