The green party is just another collection of poliyicans trying a new line to fool people into thinking our system works. They support Bertie because they know they are F^cked when Cowen gets in. Stay away from liars and their free events. Carbon trading is also stupid. Another right wing solution. Consumerism is the problem. Does anyone know any positive benefit inyroduced by the greens to make ireland and the world a better place.

What change? Nothing has been achieved except the use of some mercs and a possible ban on a certain type of lightbulb. Oh yeah and 26 million for wave power out of taxpayers money while 450 billion worth of oil and gas is handed over to Shell and friends. Can we have our votes back?

Greens only got 6 out the total of 166 TDs, just a little short of a majority. FF didn't need them for a government majority. They won't achieve all they want but they'll hopefully achieve significant changes with 2 senior ministries. It's better than banging your head against the wall in opposition. There are inevitable compromises but such is the nature of democracy. Better in and affecting some change than not.

Just to clarify- this important talk on climate change will be opened by Minister Gormley, who is pushing through a motorway; and then closed by Minister Ryan who is overseeing the development of a complex of gas refineries?

Let's hope no one mentions Tara or Bellanaboy.
