Climate Change: Voices from the Developing World

Speakers from Kenya El Salvador on climate change and global justice.

If we are to face up to the challenge of climate change, the voices and ideas of those in developing countries need to be heard.

Hosted by Trócaire, Dr. Dominic Walubego from Kenya and Martha Yvette Aguilar from El Salvador offer powerful and insightful perspectives on this global issue at talks in Galway, Cork,Dublin and Belfast from March 3rd to 6th

Climate change is a global justice issue. Carbon emissions from rich countries have contributed most to climate change, yet it is the poor in developing countries who are being hit hardest by its consequences. Trócaire's ADMIT campaign is asking the Irish Government to face up to that responsibility by supporting vital adaptation measures in the developing world andurgently reducing their own emissions. This spring, we are offering the public throughout Ireland a chance to hear from two speakers who have a unique insight and expertise on the real impact of climate change – coming from two countries which are already feeling its effects. Talks are free, All are welcome !
