Three Jews, One Arab and a whole lot of Laughs

The internationally acclaimed Israeli-Palestinian Comedy Tour is coming to Dublin. Having played to packed houses across Israel (including East Jerusalem) and the United States, the group are set to make a big impact in Dublin next week. The Event is being organized by the Trinity College Branch of Amnesty International.

"Three Jews and an Arab walk into a Bar…"
The Israeli-Palestinian Comedy Tour hits Dublin.

The internationally acclaimed Israeli-Palestinian Comedy Tour is coming to Dublin. Having played to packed houses across Israel (including East Jerusalem) and the United States, the group are set to make a big impact in Dublin next week. The Event is being organized by the Trinity College Branch of Amnesty International. "We're extremely excited to have this unique act come to Trinity College and we expect to see a packed house", comments event organiser Cearbhall Maguire.

The comedy troupe will perform to an eager audience in Trinity College's Ed Burke Theatre at 7pm on Tuesday April 1st. Tickets are priced at 7euro and will be available on the door. The comedians will also run a free workshop on "Humour in Conflict Situations" at 3pm in Trinity College's Atrium on the same day.

"It's the first time Israelis and Palestinians have done comedy together", explains comedian Charley Warady. "Well except for the peace negotiations".

They toured Israel in January 2007 will again in June. The Jerusalem Post says their comedy "…packs a potentially explosive punch". The Chicago Tribune says their audiences "…laugh hard at the jokes, which sometimes test political and religious limits". The troupe consists of Aaron Freeman, an African American convert to Judaism; Charley Warady, noted Israeli comedian; Yisrael Campbell a Hasidic Jewish convert from Catholicism, and Palestinian-American Ray Hanania.
