Programme Launch for Galway's 1st African Film Festival

The programme launch for Galway's 1st African Film Festival will take place tomorrow Tuesday 20th of May @5.30 in the Huston School of Film NUIG.
All are welcome refreshments and samples of Nigerian food will be on offer with entertainment provided by the South Afirican Gospel Choir Sisters.


Galway's 1st African Film Festival June 1st and 2nd Town Hall Theatre- Admission Free.

Galway One World Centre, Galway Film Society and The Huston School of Film & Digital Media are delighted to bring you Galway's 1st African Film Festival. While this festival offers an opportunity to see new films fom African directors, it will also be a family event with music, food and children's animation. The festival will screen a selection of films from various countries in Africa that will showcase the wealth of talent in African cinema. Like the generations of emigrants from Ireland who enjoyed the culture of their home country in places all over the globe we hope that Galway's Africans will enjoy a glimpse of home and other Galweigans will be presented with a view of the range of cultures and experience the vast continent contains.

Due to the funding received from Irish Aid there will be no charge for any of these events, however tickets must be obtained from the Town Hall Box Office.
