"Religulous" comedy documentary film : sneak pirated (time limited) preview op.

category international | arts and media | other press author Sunday January 04, 2009 00:56author by muesli Report this post to the editors

Readers of Indymedia Ireland have a short time to take advantage of global lapses in copyright infringement to enjoy the movie "Religulous" on the Chinese video sharing website "megavideo".
That site will of course be forced to remove the vid within the next fortnight, but ye've time for now.

& not pay a penny, sheckel, talent or centimo of a Euro, Dollar or reconstituted Reichsmark for it.

Religulous is a 2008 American comedy/documentary film written by and starring political comedian Bill Maher and directed by Larry Charles. According to Maher, the title of the film is a portmanteau derived from the words "religion" and "ridiculous"; the documentary examines and satirizes organized religion and religious belief.
it doesn't move.
it doesn't move.

A range of views on the various world religions are explored as Bill Maher travels to numerous religious destinations, such as Jerusalem, the Vatican, and Salt Lake City, interviewing believers from a variety of backgrounds and groups, including Jews for Jesus, Christians, Muslims, former Mormons, Satanists, and Hasidic Jews. He travels to Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park, London and satirically preaches Scientology beliefs.

blaa blaa blaa.

as a much overlooked writer once or a few times wrote around here "the cheese doth not move coz it's stuck to the toast".:.

watch the documentary ahead of its global release :-

Using FX downloadhelper the Megavideo cut-off stops me watching a movie,
but as long as I leave the pages open (including minimised),
The movie continues downloading and ends up as a completed file which I
can watch from any point.
A hassle to wait, so I just do other things,
but Megavideo despite this, and the synch problem does download fast.
The download itself doesn't use much CPU unless I'm also converting.

Cheers

Aye indeed starstruck unless you forkout the cash to become a megavideo member you won't be able to watch anything longer than 72 minutes without a wait of 54 minutes. But I recommend keeping an eye on the other two Chinese vid sharing sites as well - youku and tuduo and if you've got the inclination transferring things you like from megavideo to them. Just stay well clear of "z-share" which is one step above malware. Regular users of "watchmovies-net" (the site mentioned by starstruck) will have noticed by now that the hollywood distributors seem to use the site as much as genuine watch-for-free online buffs and people who know what the word "trope" means. Coz everytime something really good comes along the hoster gets a legal letter & it's gone.

anyway.

if it wasn't for religion we'd all live in peace............is i think the message.........or maybe there'd be some other excuse.

Watched this comedy/doco the other night, twas just alright-but worth a look
Megavideo these days often cut you off at 72 mins of video watched, and make you wait another 54 mins to watch another 72 minutes (!) so beware.
It essentially became a successful streaming site and is now selling out.
The movie above along with many others are catalogued at the site www.watch-movies.net,an excellent resource for lovers of free movies online
