Workers should not pay for the bosses Crisis!

category dublin | worker & community struggles and protests | event notice author Tuesday February 24, 2009 22:02author by Sean H - SP-DSWauthor email bigjimlarkin at hotmail dot com Report this post to the editors

A debate is to take place regarding the state of the economy and the actions of the state in trying to 'solve' it/

A Public Debate is to take place Tomorrow night (Wednesday February 25th) in The Plaza Hotel Tallaght at 20.00

The title is 'Public Sector and Private sector workers should not pay for the bosses crisis'

The speakers FOR have been confirmed and are - Cllr. Mick Murphy, Socialist Party, and Denis Keane of the CPSU (Personal capacity)

The Speakers AGAINST - We have contacted the Green Party, Fine Gael and South Dublin Chamber of Commerce and asked them to send a speaker along, hopefully they will turn up on the night.

So if you are concerned about the economy, and the feel that the ordinary PAYE worker is being unjustly targetted by the government, and want to hear the ideas people on both the left and the right have in relation to trying to tackle these problems, then you should come along!!

"Economic treason" words first used by DICK SPRING"describing the deal done by Fianna fail with the gas and oil companies.WE have never seen that deal. Was that deal legal?.The national natural resources belong to the people of IRELAND,to be used for their benefit.Properly managed the revenue from our proven GAS/OIL reserves would easily have seen us through the global recession.

Cowen gave a lousy speech.
He clearly hasn't a clue about the economy.
Fianna Fail is a big part of the problem.
How to oust them and their cronies from power is the question.
Another few years of looney tunes at the top will really wreck the country.
Maybe mass protests and strikes will do the trick.
Labour is jumping ahead in the polls.
If Gilmore became more radical his support could skyrocket.
He shouldn't be afraid to rock the boat when we're clearly on a sinking ship.
Looks like the vulture capitalists in the Carlyle Group and Arab sheikhdoms are to be subsidized to invest in Anglo.
So its necessary to reduce wages to find money for the rich.
Will they really get away with this?
Anger continues to rise, but needs to be translated into effective action to bring about regime change.
A peaceful, mass uprising could end the rule of the golden gombeen circle.

Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey's introduction to the Taoiseach's address at the 72nd Fianna Fail Ardfheis
Friends, tonight is one of the most important nights in Fianna Fail's history.

Each one of us here knows why. Each and every one of us knows the human truth of the collapse of the global economy. The families under extreme pressure. The constituents who have played by the rules, done the hard yards and can't believe what's happened to them.

When I began reading this load of crap i felt like laughing, then I nearly cried, and then I got very angry, and then I went to the loo.

Dempsey goes on to say what's come out of one of the banks. It was economic treason. No more. No less.

I welcome the Garda action earlier this week.

This week was almost four weeks after the event, the event was the criminality that took place in Anglo Irish Bank that brought Ireland into the rouge state status.

Culen was on the panel on Q&A's last monday night he swore that the fraud squad was already in Anglo, needless to say the audience seen through his lies and duly, and rightfully booed him, even John Bowman had a bit of a snigger, the fraud squad arrived the next day Tuesday almost four weeks late.

A Party that protects the weak and vulnerable.
This is one of the mob spewing out this garbage, that tried it on on the old age Pensioners.

This guy goes on to speak about the truth, thats a word he heard somewhere, has no idea what it means.

So here we go again F/Fail are so disillusioned and wrapped up in their own lies, so far removed from the man in the street, so tied up in their Corporate affairs, they still really think that we will believe them, they still think that we are that thick and stupid we will believe this load of Garbage.

If this country is to survive thaey have to go, and go very quickly.
