The justice and vengence of the Iran Contra years stretches to our days.
Mr Celerino Castillo, known as "Cele" to his friends, was once an agent of the DEA, that US secret service branch which supposedly fights the war to end production of drugs like cocaine and heroin from the jungles of Latin America to the dusty mountains of Afghanistan. Whilst working for the DEA he saw with his own little eyes how another chap working for the DEA & CIA, Mr Luis Posada Carriles, ran guns out of El Salvador's "llopango" base, he also casebooked murders by CIA "assets". "Cele" not only noted all the little details down : he did his best to tell the world. His testimony would form part of the backdrop to what is now known as the "Iran Contra" affair which as it name suggests spun a web from the mountains of central America, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua to Iran via the US covert military machine, SOA, Pentagon & of course the regime of Reagan, Bush senior, Rumsfeld, Cheney etc. The web was never properly dusted away and its cobs remained through the Clinton administration prompting the creation of "The Intelligence Oversight Board" by Bill Clinton in June 1996. "Cele" was shocked at what he perceived as a whitewash & damage limitation exercise under the Clinton presidency which with lessons still relevant for us now as we move from yet another Bush regime to Obama's was simply ignoring specific documented cases of abuse .
Here's an excerpt from the files he put together :-
he responded to the I.O.B report citing case file numbers, dates, and names of people who were murdered. In one case (DEA file # TG-86-0005) several Colombians and Mexicans were raped, tortured and murdered by CIA and DEA assets, with the approval of the CIA. Among those victims identified was Jose Ramon Parra-Iniguez, Mexican passport A-GUC-043 and his two daughters Maria Leticia Olivier-Dominguez, Mexican passport A-GM-8381. Also included among the dead were several Colombian nationals: Adolfo Leon Morales-Arcilia "a.k.a." Adolfo Morales-Orestes, Carlos Alberto Ramirez, and Jiro Gilardo-Ocampo. Both a DEA and a CIA agent were present, when these individuals were being interrogated (tortured). The main target of that case was a Guatemalan Congressman, (Carlos Ramiro Garcia de Paz) who took delivery of 2,404 kilos of cocaine in Guatemala just before the interrogation. This case directly implicated the Guatemalan Government in drug trafficking (The Guatemalan Congressman still has his US visa and continues to travel at his pleasure into the US). To add salt to the wound, in 1989 these murders were investigated by the U.S Department of Justice, Office of Professional Responsibility. DEA S/I Tony Recevuto determined that the Guatemalan Military Intelligence, G-2 (the worst human rights violators in the Western Hemisphere) was responsible for these murders. Yet, the U.S. government continued to order U.S. agents to work hand-in-hand with the Guatemalan Military. This information was never turned over to the I.O.B. investigation.
(An excerpt from his book "POWDERBURNS" Cocaine, Contras & The Drug War published in
2709 N. 28 1/2 St., McAllen,Texas 78501 Tele/Fax: 956-631-3818 http://www.fromthewilderness.com/free/hall/contra1.html )
He didn' stop with the book & his authority was of course noted in another work on the CIA : "Dark Alliance : The Cia, The Contras, And The Crack Cocaine Explosion" by the US author Gary Webb. At this Youtube link you can begin to watch a series of vidoes of an interview broadcast on radio by Alex Jones with "Cele" dressed in his characteristic army fatigues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su-LCxYz8xo
Lest you don't understand the Iran Contra affair then read the wikipedia quickly :-

oh they were never going to forgive him for that.
& unlike the aforementioned Gary Webb, "Cele" did not have the good grace to die according to the coroner Robert Lyon's report a suicide, with two .38 calibre bullets through the front of his face on December 10th, 2005. Obviously Gary Webb was very upset if he had only shot himself once through the front of the face he might have lived..,
________________________________________________________________
So we ought not be surprised that a judge linked to the Bush family, Royal Furgeson has just suceeded in his criminal case against "Cele" who now lives in Texas, for the possession of an unlicensed firearm. As we know Texans have strict gun laws and the notion that someone would have a revolver without a permit must scandalise each and every one.
"Cele" has now been ordered to serve 37 months in jail, ironically just down the road from where he saw the gun-runner Mr Luis Posada Carriles allowed to slip over the border and go swim in that pond of filth down south.
= Justice is served.
