Academics Sign Letter Calling for NATO to Admit Ukraine Thu Aug 01, 2024 11:00 | Noah Carl
158 academics have signed a letter calling for NATO to admit Ukraine. But they don't address the crucial question of when Ukraine should be admitted: now, or once the war is over. Neither option is straightforward.

its not on that they should be having a go at the workers on those jobs as they're not well paid at all and it'll maybe cost the same to pay them dole money. Does'nt make sense?
Hi Larry !
It apparently doesn't actually have to "make sense" in real time - if putting over six-and-a-half thousand workers on the dole helps some bookkeeper to 'balance his books' then that's good enough for the short-sighted political halfwits in Leinster House.
Thanks for your support , and that of your mates; I'll be on that protest myself , so we'll probably meet up on the day.
Thanks!
Sharon.
"Sack them, save wages. Pay them dole and other State benefits. Makes sense...."
Hi !
The CDP protest march through Clondalkin village went ahead today as planned , with about 50 protesters marching on the street from the County Council offices to John Curran's office in the Village.
Those taking part were in loud spirits , but good natured - at least towards each other!
Mr Curran received short shrift from them - rightly so - and could only 'promise' to have a look at their situation sometime in the near future : 'the week after the Bank Holiday week' , or some such.
Those protesters and, hopefully , many tens of thousands more, will take to the streets , again, on Friday 6th November next , when a trade union-organised rally will be held in Dublin city centre.
And I , for one, will be just as proud to march and protest alongside them on that date as I was today: full marks to all who protested today in Clondalkin - I look forward to continuing our chat in early November , if not before then .
A write-up and more pics re today's Clondalkin protest can be found at the 'Related Link' below.
Thanks!
Sharon.

that was worth the two hours me and the mates were there for
curran was in his office but never came out to explain himself to us , one of his flunkeys opened the door and two or three of the women protestors went in for about 30 mins but they just got the runaround from him
we got great support from shoppers and car drivers - all helped us to make the right noise and loud enough to
well done to us all
Hi Larry !
Thank you for your help on Monday in Clondalkin , Larry - you and the lads ensured that the protest was loud !
Looking forward to hearing from ye again on Friday 6th November next in Dublin city centre - LOUD voices appreciated!
Thanks,
Sharon.
