The development of a commemorative exhibition in the field of Contemporary Art for 1913 Lockout to take place in 2013, examing the elements of the Lockout that are extant today, the story of the Lockout and how contemporary Arts can give a dynamic to this significant element in Modern Irish History The event will have a screening of LUAS CAROL by Anne Cleary & Denis Connolly, an intervention devised by Michelle Browne evoking the notion of leadership in Modern Ireland, and a discussion between curator Helen Carey and artist Anthony Haughey about the nature of the exhibition, to take place in the Abbey theatre (Admission free) on Saturday 9 January 2010. 1913/2013 Lockout: 3rd forum 1.15 Mb |
