The Methyr to Mayo Solidarity Bike Ride sets out to cycle the 80km journey to Castlerae tomorrow (Tuesday).

After arriving in Cork on the 24th of May the group of 50 cyclists has cycled up the West coast of Ireland doing critical masses, blockading Topaz petrol stations (owned by Shell) and holding bicycle workshops in towns along the way.

There will be a music event held outside the prison in Castlerae on Wednesday the 2nd of June from 2pm in solidarity with fisherman Pat O' Donnell and Niall Harnett, who are serving sentences in relation to campaigning to stop the Shell pipeline in Rossport.
