Where are the Lisbon Jobs?

category national | worker & community struggles and protests | event notice author Tuesday June 01, 2010 12:58author by Frank Keoghan - People's Movement - Gluaiseacht an Phobailauthor email post at people dot ieauthor phone 097230 8330 Report this post to the editors

Rolling Demonstration

A call to all activists to join the People's Movement - Gluaiseacht an Phobail rolling demonsration to mark the second anniversary of the Irish No vote on the Lisbon Treaty.

Where are all the jobs that the politiical party's Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Labour and the Greens promised would flow if we voted yes to the Lisbon Treaty second time round. Remember all the flashy posters from the above political party's, from IBEC, the verious front organisations sponsored by the great and the good, from poets, film directors, trade union leaders, women's groups and retired politicans and big business respresentatives.

Come and join us in our people's demonstration at the lies and bullying that forced the overthrow of the democratic No vote on the Lisbon Treaty two years ago.

We will be carrying a selection of the "Vote Yes" posters to remind them of their lies and bullying.

It will also be an opportunity to highlight the role being played by the EU Commission is pushing forward policies that have resulted in savage cuts in public spending, wage and pensions. Driving policies like NAMA and the bank bailouts.

NO PARTY POLITICAL BANNER OR FLAGS.

SATURDAY 12th JUNE

12-30 pm The Dail, Kildare Street.
1-00pm The Labour Party HQ, Ely Place.
1-30pm Fine Gael HQ, Upper Mount St.
2-00pm Fianna Fail HQ, Lwr Mount St.

Doing that Dolerous.Dont need your steam engine.Try saying something on the issue.I'd rather try and get recognition for fishing grounds traded by 'the irish public sector' to secure the farmers CAP in hand votes. But that would be the Spanish and French poker table rather than the Teutonic cousins.
