The Palestinian Civil Servants Foundation condemns the interrogations of a member of its Board of Directors

The Palestinian Civil Servants Foundation condemns the interrogations of a member of its Board of Directors

The Palestinian Civil Servants Foundation condemns and denounces the unlawful action by one of the organs of Hamas security (interior security), without in any legal or any official request from the place of work in the Palestinian Planning Center in Gaza, where as the security apparatus has on the morning of Sunday, 13.6.2010 summoned the trade union activist and activist Jihan El- Sersawy a board member of the Palestinian Civil Servants Foundation and a member of the General Union for government employees to one of its offices in Deir al-Balah and subjected her to interrogation in a humiliating manner disregard to the civil rights or dignity of a Palestinian citizen.

We at the Palestinian Civil Servants Foundation condemns this outrageous and unlawful action as it poses harm to the rights of the Palestinian citizen and his dignity and putting obstacles in front of our members in the exercise of their functions freely and dedication in the service of our people in general and our members in particular.

We note that this work has been committed during the willingness of members of our Board of Directors to follow up Mr. Amr Moussa, Arab League Secretary General on his tour in the Gaza Strip.

It is worth mentioning that the Palestinian Civil Servants Foundation is registered and recognized by the concerned authorities, and any inquiry or questioning about the foundation or its activities must be done through the competent authorities that are closely supervising and monitoring the foundation's work.
