Also it very interesting according to wikipedia, how many dictators they funded... Have a look:-

Sure what would we do without the French?
http://www.musicanet.org/robokopp/eire/otfrench.htm
I know the funny oath and I know where to find it for certain.
(Orangemen are not exactly good poets.)
While I'm browsing the books for it meantime,
Sing along:
"Then said King William to his men after the French departed
I'm glad, said he that non of ye seem to be faint-hearted;
So sheath your swords and rest awhile , in time we'll follow after
These words he uttered with a smile the day he crossed the water.
Come let us all with heart and voice applaud our lives defender
Who at the Boyne his valor showed and mad his for surrender
To God above, the praise we ll give now and ever after,
And bless the glorious memory of...
King William that crossed the water "
of the song, the IMF, there is an interesting piece in Haaretz on the Davos schmooze-in, where they give an IMF assessment to the effect that-
'..the six biggest banking groups in America control assets equal to about 65% of GDP, up from 56% before the crash, and 15% in 1995. The banks are even declaring intentions of expanding further around the world. Evidently, nobody has the political clout to stop them. '
I didn't find the book in the attic but I found it on the internet.

You may have it on the shelf somewhere.
By Jill and Leon Uris.
The Orangeman's toast is in that book.
(Neither of them disguised their distaste for Orangemen.)
Jill and Leon Uris Published the book in about 1975.
It's up there in the attic.
I know it is.
Now how do I get up there?
Me old man in 2011.
.
A simple lie:
"The six biggest banking groups in America control assets equal to about 65% of GDP".
No they don't.
American economics is about mechanics who can rip the defective gear box out of your car and repair it.
Bankers and accountants shuffle money around which was created by the makers-of-machines.
Contrast the technologist Bill Gates to the thick-as-a-brick financial crowd who dragged Western Civilisation to its present sorry pass.
Most accountants cannot change a tyre.
..are about neo-con projects for another US century of global domination of resources,as all empires aspire, according to the world as they see it.
To a large extent US economic 'health' is dependent on DARPA and weapons development driven by the pork-barrel clientelism of lobby liaised tax-extraction from the bottom upwards to the mega-corporations shifting the profits into their networks of offshore havens where it is shaken and stirred with blackmarket arms lucre and drugs profits for speculating in globalised state-of-the-art real-time futures and commodity markets for a shrinking pool of sharks sucking the livlihoods of ordinary workers into the most profitable location(cubed)s for further recycling and 'creative-destructive' amplification.
And I know several accountants who are handy mechanics. But they dont tend to trumpet themselves as -ologists.
I gave you figures and a source to check. Haaretz is not normally associated with being inimical to high-finance. If you can invalidate the data with credible evidence I will accept it. Till then, hold your insults.
"To a large extent US economic 'health' is dependent on DARPA and weapons development."
True enough.
The development of computers (and every other branch of technology.) was spurred on by the Second World War.
(Nothing matches a good ol' all-out war to get the brain cells spinning.)
"Necessity is the Mother of invention"
Nope.
In War:
"Desperation is the mother of invention."
