I have a new theory born of personal observation. I believe that
people remain pretty much children in their minds, all their lives.
At least a big part of the mind remains static after reaching a
certain level. In spite of what human bodies do, the minds remain
almost the same in perceiving the world, and reacting to it. I think
humans peak emotionally by age 6, and the rest of it is just learning
to use the body and mind in concert, as well as that is possible,
while inputting the mind with simple accrued visual experience.
Of course reproduction is a big subject, taking up a lot of attention
and mental time. If the first maturity is that of the mind, when it is
6, then the second and final maturity is the physical state; this
happens around 20 or so, again, an idea born of personal observation.
Finally comes the heat and power of pure physical adulthood, the
predator wanting a mate, my achy breaky ding-a-ling yea Billy Ray
Berry.
So. Even though we get to an age where we consistently keep from
pooping our pants, and can keep our balance most of the time, the rest
is a mish mash of soap-opera-like inputs shored up by experts in
everything, yammering away for hours and days and months and
years...we quarrel, and seek spectacle, and are fairly well lost,
actually. The spectacle is us, we are wandering, staring about like
something pole-axed. While the moon grows.
Anyway, the times of our reproduction are fun, kind of, and all the
things you wish you knew that you know now, well, you didn't, none of
us did, so don't even bother. Some lived to tell, thats the best that
can be said. The fumblings, sweetnesses, real tenderness: the
slitherings. History and popular ballads are written about this
reproductive activities brochure which constantly plays through
everyones mind once they reach bodily maturity. For a while it Is
the program. When the actual need for all that goes away, and the
organism gets a life, then comes time to contemplate what has
transpired, to wonder about it, and to feel fortunate to have survived
it.
In my Theory of Revolution is the idea, also, that we are woefully
deficient in our early training programs, especially America.
Mnemonics and other advanced forms of learning and memorization should
be embraced in a large way immediately. Its not hard. Its fun. This
type of learning, this natural ability of the human mind, scares some
people so badly they have always called it witchcraft. They are the
same ones embracing all the wireless too, so there is irony for you if
you need it. And even if you do not.
Now we are all come to a point that irresponsible reckless
experimental activities are causing some very bad side effects; and
the moons trajectory has reached the point of suicidal, but what are
WE gonna do, Huh? Hah. Crustal displacement, a periodic thing, may
have been hurried along a little this time too, its somewhat dependent
on many factors, not least of which are the comparative size of the
ice caps, and any fluctuations thereof.
In other countries certain specialised learning programs, mostly
relying on discipline and sometimes cruelty, have met with only limited
success. All the way around thats not good. The celts even have lost their memories concerning the whys and hows of what they are, and how they once used
their minds.
How they were selected.
Boo.
The neural aural vocal exercise which never stops and grows on its own, Trained Learning, may truly not come about again except as an aspect of computer-human interaction, but it no doubt will, and it could lead us from the pit, if there is still time left for that.
