Watch a Government Minister admit to Dan Hannan that the Covid vaccines did not prevent transmission, prompting Hannan to ask: "So why the hell did we force them on to young people? Why did we insist on vaccine passports?"

All around the world airports are being built and enlarged in countries which appear to realise the 'climate crisis' is just a load of nonsense. But not in poor, gullible Britain.

Campaign Against Household Tax and Water Charges

category national | bin tax / household tax / water tax | opinion/analysis author Tuesday December 20, 2011 19:08author by Pól Ó Cionsalíghauthor email paulbkinsella at gmail dot comauthor address An Chúlóg, Báile Átha Cliath 17author phone 0851478100 Report this post to the editors

The response to the legislation on household tax has been very encouraging. A poll taken on Sunday by Newstalk after the launch of the campaign opposing the tax, showed over 70% indicated opposition and a determination not to pay. This is a great start to what will be one of the dominant campaigns in 2012.  There will be a consistent and vicious propaganda campaign by the establishment which has already begun. There will be intimidation and pressure on people who can face massive fines if they refuse to register for this charge before the end of March.

The numbers of TD’s indicating that they will not pay is growing. Many of them are also saying that will not encourage others to break the law. But as Eamon Dunphy (the latest declared non-payer) said on RTE on Monday morning, once upon a time slavery was legal – laws are there to be challenged and changed if they are unjust. And this legislation certainly is. There will be a consistent and vicious propaganda campaign by the establishment which has already begun. There will be intimidation and pressure on people who can face massive fines if they refuse to register for this charge before end of March. Despite several proposed amendments by ULA TD’s this law was passed without allowing for the levels of poverty among house owners, i.e. the over 450,000 unemployed, the disabled, pensioners, tens of thousands in negative equity and tens of thousands in substandard and dangerous Celtic Tiger dwellings. The Government’s stated intention is to raise 160 million euro next year from this tax and by 2014 1.6 billion euro. Phil Hogan indicated this when he proposed the legislation earlier in the year and therefore the property tax is set to increase dramatically over the next few years. Now is the time to resist it.

Mo Chara,

The Household Charge is our version of Thacther's Hated Poll Tax and is as equally unjust and will be resisted as much as the Poll Tax. It's wrong that somebody in Coolock will pay the same as someone in Clontarf. There'll be big Protests ahead in 2012. Brace yourselves! Let's start with the National Meeting of the Anti Household Charge And Water Tax Campaign Saturday Week in Club Ná Múinteoíri.

I worked and earned a wage, I paid tax on my wages. I got a mortgage and bought a house. The people that built my house got a wage and paid tax on their wages, the materials that built my house were bought and tax was paid on that. Now I have to pay tax on the whole lot again.....and with the likleyhood that it will increase to €1000 -€1500 per year. Enda can give his BUDDY a job with a wage rise of 35,000 and the job was not advertised. I don't earn €35,000PA. It is €100 to start with to get everyone to register, and then they have you they can increase it as they like.

why did you buy a house if you couldn't afford it? I earn less than 30K and i certainly wouldn't look at the Daft website due to my circumstances. Don't register, organise in your area and don't pay - simple as.

Hi !
Although small in the overall scheme of things regarding protests against this new tax , a noisy , colourful and determined protest was held today (Saturday 25th February 2012) in Clondalkin Village , outside the Offices of South Dublin County Council , when about twenty people stood their ground for ninty minutes and received a brilliant response from passers-by and motorists.
A bit of a write-up and a few pics can be viewed at the 'Related Link' below.
Thanks,
Sharon.

Why should the clergy get away with not paying household charges? Charity ,how are you. They won,t even have to pay it themselves this will be paid by people who finance collections!
