Muslims who Don't Like Freedom should 'F**k Off': Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb

category international | crime and justice | other press author Thursday January 08, 2015 23:17author by Fatima Report this post to the editors

A Mayor who is himself a Muslim stands up for Democracy, Freedom and Secularism.

Ahmed Aboutaleb, the mayor of Rotterdam -- the second-largest city in the Netherlands and one of the largest ports in the world -- lashed out at Muslims living in the country saying if they didn't like freedom of speech, they should "f**k off".

"It is incomprehensible that you can turn against freedom," he said as he appeared on television program Nieuwsuur on Wednesday night. "But if you do not like freedom, in Heaven's name pack your bag and leave." The anger was apparently directed at Charlie Hebdo attackers.

"There may be a place in the world where you can be yourself," he continued as reported by Dutch publication NLTimes. "Be honest with yourself and do not go and kill innocent journalists," Aboutaleb, who is a Muslim himself, said strongly lashing out at Wednesday's attackers.

"And if you do not like it here because humorists you do not like make a newspaper, may I then say you can f**k off."

About time somebody and especially a Western European Muslim called a spade a spade.

More please!

Radical Islamists and violent jihadists are the enemy of ordinary Muslims and the enemy of everyone else.

This is Europe and we are not going to kowtow to barbarian savages.

This whole thing is just concocted by the deep state and is part of a NATO strategy to keep France from going off the reservation in terms of European policy as dictated by the Americans.

Anyone who falls for this muslim baiting is just being fooled while at the same time this crisis will be used to distract from real issues and of course further erode our civil liberties. If you can't see through the larger picture and the manipulations then you will just become worked up in a frenzy to be used. Anyone with a level head can see the vast majority of people are regular folk looking for a peaceful life, regardless of their religion and people such as this mayor above are just ignorant idiots being used to further whip up hysteria.

The shooters in the Paris black op were long known to the French intelligence service and were setup and directed to carry out their Gladio task.

"The shooters in the Paris black op were long known to the French intelligence service and were setup and directed to carry out their Gladio task."

Hi T, can you please substantiate this quote?

author by Prionsiaspublication date Mon Sep 21, 2015 18:22author address author phone Report this post to the editors

I can believe that the CIA and other intelligence agencies, including Mossad and the KGB, have been involved in black ops in many countries since the mid-20th century and even before then. The overthrow of President Allende in Chile in 1973 (on September 11 to be exact); the installation of Phalavi as Shah in Iran after Mossadegh was ousted with foreign help in 1953; and the French interference in west African and Maghrebian state affairs up to the present, are historical examples. Renditions through Shannon and other airports have been effected in recent years.

I hesitate to believe that the Charlie Hebdo massacre and the murderous shootings at a Parisian supermarket were perpetrated by CIA or other western agencies in order to keep the French Government 'on side' in the so'called war against Islamist terror. I'll refuse to believe a conspiracy theory of those shocking events unless some convincing evidence can be produced.

Hi T,
I totally agree with what Prionsias-above has said and I eagerly await a substantial response to my question.
Hyperbole is one thing, substance another.
What little progress we have made in Europe in the areas of women's rights, LGBT rights and freedom of expression are not up for discussion with ANY religion.

Him and another canadian muslim known as tarek fatah are alright,i agree with whats being said to a point. But you cannot trust most muslims, the read from the same book, they learn the same things, its all about hatred for the infidel ,ie you and me.

Do not be misled into thinking islam means peace, for so many billions of muslims in the middle east,it means daily beheadings, stonings of rape victims and homosexuals.

An aussie woman was sexually assaulted in dubai, had her ribs broken and raped, she got 12 months in jail..

As Tony Benn famously said if two or more people get together to oppose something the intelligence services will open a file on them. And so it is with all of the intelligence services which in all countries, western included have totally infiltrated both the Left and the Right and of course have a huge interest in anyone with an interest in weapons etc. So it would not be in the least bit surprising the French services were aware of the activities of the two Kouachi brothers who carried out the Charlie Hebdo killings.

In an article here for instance: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/world/arti....html in McClatchy News it says:

The Kouachi brothers had claimed during the attack and in the two days afterward that they were working on behalf of al Qaida in Yemen. French officials have confirmed that Saïd Kouachi traveled to Yemen between 2009 and 2011 for training with the group and said they were attempting to determine the validity of a claim by Chérif Kouachi in a television interview before his death that he, too, had visited Yemen and had met with Awlaki.

The Kouachi brothers and Coulibaly were well-known to French security services, sparking questions of how the plot was missed.

U.S. Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told CNN on Tuesday that the United States had told French officials in 2011 that one of the Kouachi brothers had visited Yemen and that the French had monitored him for four years after his return.

But Royce said the French had dropped their surveillance when the brothers took no steps to carry out a plot.

The French magazine Le Point reported that French Prime Minister Manuel Valls had blocked requests to monitor the Kouachis’ phones, over privacy concerns

It does seem incredible also that a person no less than the Prime Minister would request that they stop monitoring their phones due to privacy concerns. If anything it was more like he was aware that the spotlight needs to come off them for other reasons.

Hi T, I am afraid you have not provided definitive evidence for your previous strong assertion. It may be possible that the French state may have somehow colluded in this atrocity;however, I don't see the evidence and remain unconvinced.
