A funny thing that I noticed in the paper the other day was a government TD making a heartfelt plea to the opposition 'not to make political capital' from the special olympics. Apparently the sneaky opposition were using the event to highlight the lack of funding to disability groups - how dare they. On the other hand, all the government were doing was getting a million political photo-ops with smiling disabled kids, happy to be ruled by such a kind man as Bertie.
